Information/Key Dates

Registration

  • Registration opened on March 1 

  • Registration fees

    • Student - $195

    • Adviser/Chaperone - $100

    • Judge - $0

  • Registration Link

Competitive Events

  • The top 4 finishers from SLC advance to NLC, 5th place serves as the alternate

  • A copy of the complete SLC placement can be found in the shareable Google folder (Link send to Advisers)

  • A competitor can only compete in one individual and one team event at the national level

  • Go into the Google document and place a Y/N next to the student name in your chapter if they plan to advance to nationals for that event or not. This will "free up" additional competitors below the top three students to compete if they choose to.

  • Prejudge materials submission - by 4:00 pm on April 28, 2023

    • Local advisers will upload the files in Blue Panda

    • Events requiring uploading prejudge submissions include: American Enterprise Project, Business Ethics, Business Financial Plan, Business Plan, Community Service Project, Digital Animation, Digital Video Production, Future Business Leader, Job Interview, Local Chapter Annual Business Report, Partnership with Business Project

  • Production event materials (Computer Applications, Database Design and Applications, Spreadsheet Applications and Word Processing) must be in the sharable folder from the State Office by 4:00 pm on May 5, 2023

  • Schedules of the competitive events at NLC

  • Adviser Duty Assignments - send an email to executivedirector.vt.fbla@gmail.com to offer to help as each state is required to do so! Your name will be passed on to the national office for assignment.

Housing

  • ALL housing requests need to be processed through the state office. Complete your housing request by May 12, 2023

  • Vermont FBLA will be at the:

    • Courtyard Downtown Atlanta, 133 Carnegie Way NW, Atlanta, GA 30303

  • Advisers and students MUST stay in an FBLA NLC hotel in order to be eligible for competition. If you are found to not be staying at an NLC official hotel (AirBnB, condo, VRBO, etc.) you will face disqualification. 

  • Nightly rate is $266.86/night (including state/local/city taxes). Vermont schools may not be considered tax-exempt in Georgia.

  • The hotel WILL have a shuttle to the Convention Center
